The modern Alfa Hotel is housed in a six storey building with cream fa?ade, situated in the north-western part of Berlin on a quiet street in the Tiergarten-Mitte District, five kilometres from Tegel Airport. The 33 guestrooms have beige and cream d?cor with coordinating furnishings. All are equipped with Internet connections (dial-up), minibars, cable TV, safes and trouser presses.
During summer months guests can take breakfast (surcharge) alfresco in the garden terrace, and enjoy Berlin vistas from the roof terrace. The bar serves a range of drinks and guests can order up room service or unwind in the reception/lounge area. Nearby secure parking (surcharge) is a plus for drivers. Berlin's Kurfurstendamm boulevard is 3.5 kilometres away, and branching from this is Tauentzienstrasse, a major shopping street and the site of the Europa Centre; a 22- storey complex of restaurants, shops, offices, cinemas, a planetarium, and an ice rink. Tiergarten Park, 500 metres away, extends about 3 kilometres to the Brandenburg Gate (3.7 kilometres away). Berlin-Tegel Airport (TXL) is approximately a 15 minutes drive and a distance of 4.5 kilometres. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. An airport bus is available that connects to the underground system. There is also a jet express airport shuttle serving central Berlin. Take bus X9 to Underground station Junfernheide. Change and take Bus 227 to Neues Ufer. The hotel is on Ufnaustrasse, a five minute walk.
